The Mount Pleasant Business Association (MPBA) of Washington, DC represents over 45 independent businesses and property owners. Its mission is to promote economic development of the Mount Pleasant Street commercial corridor and its members while helping to preserve diversity and neighborhood serving retail.

MPBA activities include coordinating promotional events such as Make It Mount Pleasant, ads in bus shelters, advocating on behalf of its members with DC officials, and sponsoring a street cleaning and graffiti removal program. It also sponsors annual events in Mount Pleasant including the Lamont Park Holiday Celebration, the Youth Arts Fair with area schools in the spring, Music Fest and the Movies in the Park Series in the summer.

The Awards Ceremony & Reception is
May 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Library.
